Halloween and Bonfire Night are over and now thoughts turn to the festive season – eek! But wait, before the mayhem and stress of the Christmas period commences, take time out to unwind, relax and indulge in a bit of me time. I’ve complied a couple of activities to give something back to yourself.
Take some time outdoors
Spending time outside with nature will give you a much-needed boost. Look at spending time in your garden, doing some tidying and close the garden down for winter. Don’t tidy your garden too much, leave some areas messy and include some fallen leaves to help hibernating animals and give shelter to insects and bugs.
If it’s a warm Autumn evening, sit outside, light some candles and feel how the season is changing. May I suggest our beeswax Tealights burning in a hurricane candle holder.
Alternatively, go for a walk and get some fresh air. Whether your walk is in the woods or your local park be sure to kick your way through those fallen leaves!
Master the art of relaxation
Or have fun trying! Organise a pamper night and test all those products that you’ve been hoarding and never used.
Run a bubble bath, grab a good book, a glass of your tipple of choice and lay back and relax! Luxuriating in a long, hot bath has medicinal benefits. It can lift your mood, help you sleep better and relieve those aches and pains. Read more here
Help to set the scene by lighting some candles. May I suggest our beeswax Pillar Candles. All our candles are non-toxic and have no added fragrance, therefore they will not over power you or compete with scented bath products. Instead they will provide you with a clean burning candle which is naturally scented by the honey and floral nectar from the honeycomb.
When you burn a beeswax candle a little piece of Summer is still here, bringing its warmth and glow – wonderful!
Happy me time!
