Are your Candle decorations and packaging recyclable?
All of our candle decorations and packaging are either recyclable, re-usable or bio-degradable.
Do you use 100% pure beeswax to make your candles?
Yes we do. We only use 100% pure beeswax locally sourced to us in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire, UK. We have traceability on our beeswax and we trust and feel good about how the beekeepers harvest their honey and wax. We do not and will never use cheap imported beeswax.
We do not mix our beeswax with any other waxes or fillers.
Do you only use Cotton Wicks?
All of our beeswax candles have natural 100% braided cotton wicks. All of our wicks are tin / zinc / metal free.
Do you add chemicals to your beeswax candles?
NO! Our candles are made with beeswax that is 100% pure and natural – with nothing added.
Why do you not add fragrance to your beeswax candles?
We don’t like scented candles! Beeswax candles have their own natural fragrance provided by Mother Nature and you can’t beat perfection!
Do you add colours to your beeswax candles?
No, we use only the raw beeswax from the hive which can range in colour from light amber, butterscotch to bright yellow. We like it that way!
What is the white cloudy film on my beeswax candle?
This white film is called ‘bloom’ and it is normal and occurs to all pure beeswax. Bloom is caused because some of the components of beeswax migrate to the surface and will appear a few weeks to a few months after the candle is made. Bloom can easily be removed by holding the candle in your hand to warm the beeswax and then take a soft cloth and polish off the bloom.
Many people actually desire this effect as it tends to give the beeswax candle a unique and rustic look.
